Easier Access is Here

Motorized Scooter and Rollator are now available

Your library is committed to improving access for all individuals, particularly those with disabilities and older adults. As part of our ongoing commitment, the library now has a mobility scooter and a rollator for public use. This purchase was made possible through an American Library Association: “Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities” grant.

The mobility scooter is an electrically powered wheelchair; while the rollator is a walker with wheels, brakes, seat, and basket. Either one can be used to access all public areas of the library. Anyone who needs a scooter or rollator while visiting the library may use one – and there is no charge. Individuals should reserve the scooter or rollator a day in advance. Call us for more details.

A mobility scooter is parked indoors in front of a colorful quilt decorated with scenes of buildings, trees, and landscapes, each framed by pink borders.
